প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, আমরা কুকুরকে দেখলে ঘৃণা করি। তাকে আমরা তাড়িয়ে দেই। আমাদের কাছে ঘেষতে দেই না।

কিন্তু এই কুকুরের মধ্যে এরকম দশটি গুণ রয়েছে যা প্রতিটি মুমিনের মধ্যেই থাকা উচিত কুকুরের সেই উত্তম গুণগুলো হলো।
হযরত হাসান বসরী রহমাতুল্লাহ আলাইহি বলেন কুকুরের মধ্যে এমন দশটি স্বভাব রয়েছে যা প্রতিটি মুমিনের মধ্যেই থাকা উচিত কুকুরের সেই উত্তম স্বভাব গুলো হল
১) কুকুর অনাহারে থাকে যা সালেহীন বা নেককারদের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
২) কুকুরের কোন ঘর বাড়ি নাই। যা মুতাওয়াক্কিলিন বা আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা কারীদের নিদর্শন।
৩) কুকুর রাত্রে কম ঘুমায় যা আল্লাহ প্রেমিকদের গুণ। কারণ তারা আল্লাহ রাব্বুল আলামীনের মহব্বতে রাত্রিবেলা ইবাদত বন্দেগী করে কাটিয়ে দেয় এবং কম ঘুমিয়ে থাকে।
৪) কুকুরের মৃত্যু হলে সে কোন মিরাছ রেখে যায় না। যা হলো জাহিদ তথা দুনিয়ার প্রতি অনাগ্রহীদের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
৫) কুকুর কখনো তার মালিককে ছেড়ে যায় না। যা সত্যি কার ও যথার্থ সালেকদের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
৬) কুকুর সব সময় সংকীর্ণ জায়গাতেই সন্তুষ্ট থাকে। যা বিনয়ীদের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
৭) কেউ যখন কুকুরকে থাকার জায়গা থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেয় তখন সে এটাকে উচ্ছেদ কারীর জন্য ছেড়ে দেয়। যা রাজিন বা আল্লাহর প্রতি রাজি ও সন্তুষ্ট বান্দের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
৮) কুকুরকে যদি তার মালিক প্রহার করার পর ডাক দেয়। তবে তৎক্ষণাৎ সে তার মনিবের ডাকে সাড়া দেয়। যা খাশেয়ীন বা আল্লাহর প্রতি পরম নিবিষ্ট ও একাগ্র চিত্ত লোকদের বৈশিষ্ট্য।
৯) মনিব যখন আহার করে কুকুর তখন দূরে বসে অপেক্ষা করে, যা মিসকিনদের আলামত বা নিদর্শন।
১০) কুকুর যখন কোন বাড়ি থেকে চলে যায় তখন সে আর এদিকে ভ্রুক্ষেপ করে না। যা চিন্তাশীলদের আলামত। আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে উত্তম গুনাবলী অর্জনের তৌফিক দান করুন আমিন।

But there are ten qualities in this dog that every believer should possess. These are the best qualities of a dog.
Hazrat Hasan Basri rahmatullah alaihi said there are ten qualities in a dog that every believer should have. The best qualities of a dog are
1) Dogs are starving which is characteristic of salahin or nekkar.
2) Dogs have no home. Which is a sign of Mutawakkilin or those who trust in Allah.
3) Dogs sleep less at night which is the quality of lovers of Allah. Because they spend the night in worship for the love of Allah Rabbul Alamin and sleep less.
4) When a dog dies, it leaves no legacy. Which is the characteristic of Zahid and those who are not interested in the world.
5) A dog never leaves its owner. Which is the characteristic of real people and true sages.

6) Dogs are always satisfied in confined spaces. Which is the characteristic of the humble.
7) When someone drives a dog out of a shelter, he leaves it for the evictionist. Which is the characteristic of a servant who agrees and is satisfied with Allah.
8) If the dog is called after being beaten by its owner. But he immediately responded to his master's call. Which is characteristic of people who are devoted and focused on God.
9) When the master eats, the dog sits and waits, which is a sign of the poor.
10) When a dog leaves a house, it no longer looks at it. Which is a sign of thoughtful people.
