Tribak records is proud to present its first release- a rare jewel from the Jerusalem underground scene- Shabab Al Quds ( the teenagers of Jerusalem in Arabic).

The project was founded, written and composed by Joselito- a poet & multidisciplinary artist, who has been active for 30 years in the holy city´s underground scene . Later on when Alon Ovant joined
( Mujahideen, Andarta), another member was Tal Meiri on vocals . The band was active between 2003-2005, playing few live concerts in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Shabab had a unique sound signature- a mix between distorted Arabic percussions, dark wave guitars, dirty synth drones & apocalyptic texts.

During 2004 they contacted Rocky B (aka Tropikal Camel) , offered him to produce those tracks to an album, a demo version was made , but because of tensions inside the project- it was shelved.

During 2020, Rocky offered to release these demos, as a documentation, but the members decided to gather, re-record the tracks , using the instrumentals that were made almost 20 years before , then the tracks were re-produced in Berlin , keeping the original vibe & adding an extra spice .

The lyrics are poetic streams of conscience that describe sorrel scenes, in 3000 , is written from a perspective of a old man looking at the world burning, in Camera there is a lynch style scene, and in filth there is a post apocalyptic prophecy.

This EP is a rare glimpse to a scene that is born in the dark alleys of the holy city- like the metallic sound of ghosts walking on old stones.
