Connect And Disconnect Wifi using CMD ( Command Prompt)
First of all, to connect to a specific Wi-Fi network, we need to list all the available Wi-Fi networks in our area so we know which one we want to connect to.
1) Open Start on the Windows Taskbar
Type: CMD or Command Prompt
2) To list all the Wi-Fi networks available in your area, type this command:
netsh wlan show networks
3) Now let's select the Wi-Fi network we want to connect to.
As you can see, it listed around 20 networks.
Let’s connect to Junior Galaxy’s S24 Wi-Fi.
To do so, type the following command:
netsh wlan connect name="Junior galaxy's S24"
Replace "Junior galaxy's S24" with the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
Voilà! You are now connected to your Wi-Fi, fast and easy.
4) To disconnect from the Wi-Fi, type this command:
netsh wlan disconnect
What does this command do?
It disconnects your PC from the current Wi-Fi network.
In the next video, I’ll show you how to automatically connect or disconnect from any Wi-Fi network without touching the computer.
Leaving your Wi-Fi open all the time can expose you to risks on the internet. Disconnecting when not in use can even save you money.
Comment "wifi" below the video if it didn’t work for you. I’ll be happy to help.
