L’Etang des Salines, situé à la pointe Sud de la Martinique, est une zone humide remarquable mais fragile. Unique en son genre, cette lagune de 97 ha entourée de mangrove, de savane, de fourré et forêt sèche fait l’objet d’une désignation au titre de la convention de Ramsar sur la protection des zones humides d’intérêt international.
