Lifeguards could not locate a lost buoy that would hide under the surface of water hurting swimmers. Despite all buoys moved by storm, and horribly murky water, we located the buoy and removed it with a clean cut at the bottom. The ballast was buried deep in the sand, so it will likely stay there for centuries.

Question: How was the buoy dangerous if it looks like it was at 3 meters depth.
Answer: The video does not illustrate it well enough, but the buoy was hovering around 30-50 cm under the surface. It was totally invisible. I know it can hurt swimmers because we discovered it by having a race in water. I hit the buoy badly with both little finger and an elbow. We reported it to the lifeguards, demonstrating bleeding injuries, and they said they would take care of this, but could not locate the buoy.
