The Browns enter the 2021 season with major roster improvements to key positions. They brought in John Johnson III to fill the much needed Free Safety position which was the most glaring hole in their defense last year. Johnson will line up in the secondary along with Browns star CB Denzel Ward rouding out what is sure to be a much improved pass defense. They've also brought in other critical stars and role players who should fit in nicely in Joe Woods' defensive scheme. Anthony Walker Jr joined the squad from Indianapolis, Takkarist Mckinley from Atlanta, Troy Hill accompanied John Johnson from the LA Rams, and the big free agent signing splash was made when the Browns finally convinced Jadeveon Clowney to line up opposite the most dangerous defensive player in the league Myles Garrett. Lest we forget the other rookie additions to the defense, first round pick Greg Newsome II and second rount pick JOK, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah who showed his talents in the pre-season much to the excitement of Browns coaches, front office and fans!

The Browns Offensive retained all key personnel including QB Baker Mayfield who's entering his fourth year, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper, David Njoku, Harrison Bryant, Hollywood Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Jedrick Wills, Joel Bitonio , JC Tretter, Wyatt Teller and Jack Conklin which rounds out the best offensive line in the league. And you can't forget the return of superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr who's returning from the torn ACL that he suffered in week 7 of last year.

This week 1 NFL matchup between the Chiefs and Browns is sure to be one for the history books as the Browns look to come back to Kansas City for revenge and assert themselves as thee team to beat in the AFC.

Now the Kansas City Chiefs are coming to play as well. Pat Mahomes has never lost a game in the month of September (10-0) in his four years in the NFL. He also has a 67.6 completion percentage, has thrown over 30 touchdowns and has NEVER thrown an interception in the month of September in his young NFL career. The Chiefs are coming off their back to back Super Bowl appearances, most recently having lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead by who some consider the greatest QB of all time Tom Brady. This chiefs team is lining up to be in somewhat of a dynasty mode with Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill leading the way. The only question mark coming into the 2021 season is how long can they maintain their AFC dominance? Can Andy Reid keep his team focused and motivated after the crushing Super Bowl loss? We shall see.
