Hey i'm Craig, and i'm Greg, we're the guys behind tayst coffee roasters, did you know that coffee is a 100 Billion Dollar Industry Worldwide? over 11 billion single serve coffee cups will be sold this year. Unfortunately most of the coffee is crappy, expensive.. and these plastic cups... they're destroying the planet.
These are huge problems, and we're commited to changing the game... over the last year we've met some amazing people, sourced some great coffee. Spent countless hours researching the best ways to make great single serve coffee environmentally friendly. we looked the recycled plastics of biodegradable coffee cups, but never found a pod that has the potential for zero footprint, until now. Our pod is the only BPI certified 100% compostable pod, meaning not only it disintegrates, but actually supplies nutrients back. why is our pod so great? the top foil is replaced with compostable paper and ??????? the rim is created with a bio resin and natural coffee char, which is a byproduct of coffee production and we replace those horrible plastic cups with a biobased mesh that will make coffee extraction with smoother taste and stronger aromas, making our great coffee something. Not only are our pods environmentally friendly, but we source our coffee from forest alliance farmers, where each cup supports the soil the coffee is growing, as well as the farmers and their communities. We're super proud of this fact. Tayst coffee is about producing a great product from start to finish, that is why we're working closely with our suppliers to create coffe that's recyclable and made of compostable materials, we're working continually looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of our company on all of its products.
