Dashain
Dashain also Bijayā Daśamī is the festival with a fifteen-day-. It is celebrated by Hindu groups in Nepal and the Nepali people of Indian hill states of Sikkim, Assam and Darjeeling district and among the Lhotshampa of Bhutan and the Burmese Gurkhas of Myanmar.It is the longest and the most auspicious festival in the Bikram Sambat and Nepal Sambat calendar, celebrated by hindu Nepalese people, along with their diaspora throughout the globe.

Tihar
Tihar also known as Deepawali and Yamapanchak or Swanti is a five day long Hindu festival celebrated in the Indian subcontinent, notably in Nepal and the Indian states of Assam and Sikkim including in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. It is the festival of lights. Diyas are lit inside and outside the houses to make it illuminate at night.

Indra Jatra
Indra Jatra also known as Yenya the biggest religious street festival in Kathmandu, Nepal. Ye means "kathmandu" and nya means "celebration", together it means "celebration inside the valley, Kathmandu" in Nepal Bhasa. Indra Jatra is 8 day long. The celebrations consist of two events. Indra Jatra is marked by masked dances of deities and demons, displays of sacred images and tableaus in honor of the deity Indra, the king of heaven. The other event is Kumari Jatra, the chariot procession of the living goddess Kumari.

Gai Jatra
Gai Jatra is one of the famous Jatar among Newar. It is also known as "Cow Festival". In this day people from every family who have death in family during the year participate in this festival. It is also celebrated in the remembrance of the family member who was death in the year. It is celebrate in different cities of Nepal

Seto Machindranath
Seto Machindranath, also known as Janabaha Dyo, Aryavalokitesvara, Karunamaya is a deity worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists in Kathmandu. The temple of Seto Machindranath is located in Jana Bahal (also known as Machhindra Bahal). Located between Ason and Indra Chok in central Kathmandu, the temple is believed to have been established around the 10th century. Seto Machindranath is worshipped as an aspect of Avalokiteshvara.

Biska Jatra
Biska Jatra is an annual event in Bhaktapur, Dhapasi Thimi and Tokha and various places in Nepal.The festival is celebrated at the start of the new year on the Bikram Sambat calendar, however, the festival itself is not related to Bikram Sambat. It is celebrated in First Month First Day of Nepali Calander can be called as Nepali New Year.

Losar
Losar is a festival in Tibetan Buddhism. Lhosar Festival is mostly celebrated by the Sherpa community. Literally Lhosar means New Year and usually falls during the month of February. During this period the major Buddhist monasteries and stupas like Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath are decorated with prayer flags. During this festive season people perform their cultural dance and welcome the New Year with feasts and family gatherings. The dances are usually seen in Khumbu, Helambu and Boudhanath in Kathmandu. This festival is mostly celebrated by Sherpa, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Thakali, Manange, Helmuli and Tibetan.

Chhath Parva
Chhath is mostly celebrated in Terai region of Nepal.The Chhath Puja is dedicated to the Sun and his wife Usha in order to thank them for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. Chhath does not involve any idol worship.This festival is observed by Nepalese and Indian people, along with their diaspora.While it is a Hindu festival, some Muslims also celebrate Chhath.

Holi
Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in Nepal, also known as the "festival of colours" or the "festival of love.The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (Full Moon day) falling in the Vikram Samvat Hindu Calendar.

Rato Machindranath
Rato Machindranath Raath yatra is a month long chariot pulling festival of Patan. Rato Machindranath, the god of rain resides for six months in the temple located near Patan Durbar Square. The rain of god is brought to the chariot that is assembled in Pulchowk. The chariot is pulled through various parts of the town of Patan; the route begins from pulchok, goes thru Gabahal, Hakha, Sundhara, LaganKhel and ends in Jawalakhel. On the last day of the chariot pulling festival, Bhoto Jatra (Vest festival) takes place.
