Some of the most common mistakes bartenders make, VERY IMPORTANT NOTES TO SAVE AND APPLY STRAIGHT AWAY:
1 - Over Pouring Spirits: Inconsistent pouring can result in drinks that are too strong or too weak, impacting customer satisfaction and the establishment's profitability. Proper measurement and pouring techniques are essential skills.
2 - Over Diluted Cocktails: Knowledge and Execution is key. Careful with Excessive ice shaking, Inadequate ice quality, Improper mixing techniques, Temperature and humidity.
3 - Neglecting Garnishes: Neglecting the presentation of drinks, such as not garnishing properly or serving in dirty glassware, can affect the overall experience for the customer. Attention to detail is key.
4 - Taking Garnishes With Hands: Hands can harbor bacteria, dirt, and other contaminants, and touching garnishes with bare hands can transfer these to the garnish and, subsequently, to the customer's drink. This poses a potential health risk. Tongs, tweezers and garnish picks are common tools used in bars to handle garnishes without direct contact. They provide a more sanitary and controlled method for placing garnishes in drinks.
5 - Under Pouring Cocktails: Use the right measurements in a drink recipe, do not guess. If you are in doubt, double check before pouring the ingredients and ice. Make it right, make it look exceptionally attractive for everyone involved in the bar experience!
