March 28/16 - In this video I show the first look at the gold after being etched with HF, then 35% peroxide and rinsed with water. The gold is awesome and plentiful on this specimen. Stay tuned for more, MUCH more to come. It started off as 7788.17 grams of gold, quartz, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite and other.
This video series is to show the preparing of a gold specimen to make it more valuable than the gold content, this will turn out to be a museum quality specimen rather than crushing it and melting the gold.
The chemicals and techniques used in the preparation of this specimen are DANGEROUS and can cause death. This video is for educational purposes and hopefully entertaining as well. PLEASE DO NOT attempt any of these techniques or procedures without proper safety equipment and training
