Pots and Pots and Pots, Oh My - 1964

Описание: I decided to put the original 1963, 44th week Stackpole (304) volume pot back into the 1964 Strat. This was a little nerve racking because my old 1964 wires are getting shorter and shorter. Honestly, the guitar was louder for some reason but I am not sure I liked the results because I lost a little of the quack I had in the "in-between" positions. I think I am going to take it out again soon. The new pot that was in it was reading 241K ohms and the old one was 333K ohms.

I may go back with one of The Art of Tone pots with the vintage taper to see what I think. Please wires, don't get any shorter.

This may be a clue as to why that 1959 Hardtail that SRV used to use was so loud. But you don't have the luxury of changing pots in that bad boy. I thought it had overwound pickups but they were 5.8K, 5.2K, 5.7K. Everything makes a difference. Whew, lots of experimenting needs to be done to find that sweet spot.
