Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) is an invasive insect native to Japan which kills hemlock trees. Without treatment, hemlocks will die within 3-10 years. Luckily, you can save your hemlocks with a few products from the hardware store, no pesticide license required. For most property owners this will cost less than $100.
Supplies required - Root Soak
-Imidacloprid (active ingredient) pesticide root soak product
-Large measuring cup (like a Pyrex, only to be used with pesticides)
-Flexible tape measure
-Rubber or latex gloves
-Bucket
-Rake
Supplies Required - Horticultural Oil Spray

-All purpose sprayer (only to be used with pesticides)

-Protective eyewear
