The Bank Minimum Balance Add-On ensures strict control over bank ledger balances during voucher entry. By defining a Minimum Debit Balance (for normal bank accounts) or Minimum Credit Balance (for Overdraft accounts) in the Bank Ledger Master, TallyPrime will automatically validate every payment/withdrawal transaction.
If the transaction causes the bank balance to go below the defined minimum balance, Tally will not allow the voucher to be saved, ensuring financial discipline and preventing accidental overdrafts or penalty charges
Key Features
✔ Minimum Balance Setup in Ledger Master
Set your required Maintain Minimum Balance amount directly in each Bank Ledger (e.g., ₹6,000 for Union Bank, –₹25,000 for ICICI OD).
✔ Real-Time Balance Validation
Whenever a Payment, Contra, or Journal voucher affects the bank balance, the Add-On checks the available bank balance before saving.
✔ Auto Blocking of Voucher Save
If the new balance goes below the set limit:
• The voucher will not be saved
• A warning message will appear
✔ Supports Both Bank & Overdraft Accounts
