Leonidio, Greece, is perhaps the best kept secret of 2021. For the past 3-4 years, a hand full of dedicated climbers have developed and set more then 2000 routes, from easy 3(5.4) to 9a (5.14+). Something, and a lot of it, for everyone. Its also very kid friendly, with most crags being a short hiking distance away with safe landings and shady spots for the younger ones.
Leonidio offers more than climbing. It has great hiking and bike paths, historical monuments and ruins, as well as distant monasteries carved into the rock faces, mountain sides and perched villages far away from any civilization, perfect for a quiet cup of coffee or picnic, just you and the silence of nature coming together as one.
