700 Club clip showing Helen Baylor's testimony. Baylor had grown up in Tulsa, OK and had an early experience with the Gospel as a result of the influence of her grandmother (that year's "Helen's Testimony" from the "Live Experience" project expands on this somewhat). However, her parents later moved to Los Angeles and her aunt then began trying to get her into show business, culminating in minor glimpses of success by the world's standards (touring as part of the musical "Hair"; opening for everyone from Stevie Wonder to Bill Cosby; later performing with the likes of Chaka Khan and Captain & Tennille) while her personal life crashed and burned as a result of drug addiction before her return to Christ one Friday evening in 1982, where she asked the Lord to remove the drug addiction and sin from her life.
Baylor would eventually record several gospel albums during the 1990s and early 2000s and then went on to write her autobiography, "No Greater Love: The Helen Baylor Story"
