The formula is based on polyurethane, like a top coat for leather or imitation leather. So it is a polyurethane sealant. It’s water-based, breathable and does not yellow due to UV radiation.

The coating must be applied to new leather seats (perfect condition). Instructions:
1) You clean the leather with the Colourlock mild leather cleaner.
2) Prep the surface using the yellow microfiber towel and Top Life Prepare product.
3) As soon as the surface is dry, apply the Top Life Coating using the supplied foam applicator sponge.
4) Let dry for 2 hours at ambient temperatures of at least 15 °C (59 °F). Then you can sit on the leather.
Full protection occurs after 48 hours of curing. You don't need to apply a lot of Top Life Coating. Less is more. It will add UV protection, and protect from friction damage, dye transfer, liquid spills and make cleaning much easier.

Do not clean the leather until 8 days after the Top Life application. For maintenance, you can use the New leather care set (3 months after the Top Life application).
