The Great New Zealand road trip - Mt Cook & Mt Sunday (Edoras)

Описание: Welcome to the first part of our Great New Zealand Road Trip. In this video we take you to the first few stops on our journey through this beautiful country.
Our first stop is Mount Sunday, famous as the filming location for Edoras, the capital of the Horse Lords of Rohan in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. It takes a bit of effort to get there, as you have to drive along a long gravel road through the countryside, but the journey is worth it. When you arrive you’re surrounded by an incredible expanse of grassy plains and towering mountains, making it easy to see why it was chosen as the perfect filming location.

Next we make a quick stop at the stunning Lake Tekapo as we continue our drive towards Aoraki / Mount Cook. The video finishes with us hiking the famous Hooker Valley Track, crossing three suspension bridges while surrounded by glaciers, dramatic alpine scenery and fast-flowing glacial rivers.
