White Settlement Police Department are searching for two suspects accused of a brazen Christmas Eve ATM theft at a 7-Eleven. Surveillance video shows the suspects using a stolen SUV and a metal cable to pull the ATM out of the store while a clerk and customer were still inside.
Police say the entire crime took less than two minutes. The suspects fled westbound on I-30, but the cable snapped, sending the ATM into a nearby culvert. License plate readers later helped officers locate the abandoned SUV, which had been reported stolen in Dallas about an hour earlier.
David Sentendrey spoke with Christopher Cook, who believes the theft may be connected to similar ATM crimes across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward, noting the suspects could face serious felony charges.
