My husband left for basic training on April 21st, 2014. On April 29th, 2014 I found out that I was pregnant with our first child. A couple days later, I had to be taken to the ER with a miscarriage scare, and decided to not tell him and worry him while he was training. On June 29th, I got the ok from my Dr to tell him.
He had his Family Day on July 1st, 2014 and I had this planned a month in advance.
His reaction was awesome! And the next two days, he wouldn't let me go and was constantly announcing that he was going to be a dad to all of his friends. It was adorable.
