In this episode of my series “Walks in Dorset”, I take a 6.5 mile circular walk from the village of Ibberton which is located 7 miles West of Blandford Forum. Once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Logan.
I parked my car at The Ibberton pub (my final destination) and started off with a quick wander through the village & included a visit to the Church of St Eustace.
My route then took me west, out into the countryside, to the small settlement of Woolland where there was another church to explore.
I continued on to the even smaller hamlet of Stoke Wake before climbing uphill to check out the iron age hillfort known as Rawlsbury Camp where there were some stunning views to enjoy.
Now on a section of the Wessex Ridgeway, I continued East past Bulbarrow Hill and along a ridge before descending down back towards Ibberton.
My walk ended at The Ibberton Inn where I took refreshments.
