As Berlengas são um arquipélago composto por ilhas graníticas que se localiza a 15 km da costa oeste de Peniche. O arquipélago é composto por 3 ilhéus: Berlenga Grande, Estelas e Farilhões-Forcados, mas é a Berlenga Grande que se destaca pela sua maior dimensão.

Para visitar as ilhas das Berlengas – ou, melhor, para ir até à Berlenga Grande, a maior ilha deste arquipélago – é preciso apanhar um barco em Peniche. Irá encontrar ainda em terra, em Peniche, diferentes meios de transporte marítimos para aceder às Berlengas.

The Berlengas are a Portuguese archipelago consisting of small Atlantic islands 17 kilometers (11 miles) off the coast of Peniche, Portugal, in the Oeste region. These islands were traditionally known to British mariners as "the Burlings", thus the name in Portuguese " as Berlengas".

The only inhabited island is its largest island, Berlenga Grande, although there is currently no permanent habitation in the archipelago. The other islands are grouped into two groups of islets, the Estelas Islets and the Farilhões-Forcados Islets.
