Описание: Racism in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - or - Colour Theory.
-------------------------------------------------------
Set in the fictional town of Maycomb County, Alabama in the 1930's and published in 1960 'To Kill a Mockingbird' tells the story of Tom Robinson, a 'Black' Man who is falsely accused of the rape of a 'White' Woman, Mayella Ewell, and his Lawyer Atticus Finch who stands for Justice and in the face of the Racism of his provincially-minded Town.

Then there is the Character of Boo Radley. Through him, Harper Lee demonstrates that Racism is a Psychological phenomenon prior to it ever being one of a 'Systematic' (by which people mean to say 'Systemic') nature.

Implied Question: Did Racism not exist prior to and pre-ceding systems?
Think about this in the context of the modern conversation, (or more-appropriately 'Monologue') on Race.

An accomplished novel that demands further analysis. Read it.

Although published in 1960 Harper Lee's Novel is a story of, and for the ages.

NB. Apologies for the glitches: technical difficulties - I'm on it.
