Welcome to Archinest! Today, we take you to the stunning landscapes of Morocco, just 20 kilometers south of Marrakech, where an extraordinary architectural masterpiece seamlessly blends with its surroundings.[pause 3.00s]
Designed by E-H Atelier d'Architectures, L-H Atelier, and Sarah Poniatowski, this residence spans an impressive 1000 square meters, nestled within a vast 13,000-square-meter plot.[pause 2.00s] The architects took inspiration from the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, orienting the entire project to embrace and frame this majestic scenery.[pause 3.00s]
The layout unfolds naturally across the land, with each volume strategically positioned to enhance the connection with the outdoors. [pause 2.00s] The swimming pool, placed at a distance from the house, follows an East-West axis, providing an idyllic space for relaxation and contemplation.[pause 3.00s]
Inside, the program includes six luxurious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy.[pause 2.00s] The communal areas feature an inviting living room, a refined dining space, and a well-equipped kitchen. [pause 1.00s] Additionally, the residence boasts a rooftop terrace and a pool house, offering panoramic views of the surrounding terrain.[pause 3.00s]
Materiality plays a crucial role in defining the essence of this project. [pause 1.00s] The architects embraced a local color palette inspired by traditional Casbahs, creating a harmonious connection with Moroccan heritage. [pause 2.00s] A key highlight is the custom-designed brick moucharabieh, which not only adds character to the façade but also serves a functional purpose—mitigating heat while crafting mesmerizing light patterns throughout the interiors.[pause 3.00s]
This interplay of light and shadow brings life to the spaces, enhancing the sensory experience of the house.[pause 2.00s] As the sun moves across the sky, the shifting patterns create a dynamic and ever-changing atmosphere, embodying both tradition and modernity.[pause 3.00s]
This architectural gem stands as a testament to thoughtful design, cultural integration, and the beauty of its natural surroundings. [pause 2.00s] A perfect balance between contemporary living and vernacular influences, this house offers an immersive experience in the heart of Morocco.[pause 3.00s]
