If you own a motorhome that is built on a Freightliner Chassis, chances are you have experienced the piercing sound of the "jacks down" warning beeper.
We understand that the warning is necessary, but felt like there should be a way to adjust this to a more appropriate volume for "your jacks are down", and not "impending nuclear attack". We spoke with several folks at Tiffin Motorhomes and at Freightliner, and they all told us that since that was a safety feature, it could not be adjusted (or disabled).
After a month or so of dealing with hurriedly doing our takedown, so that our dog didn't go into full panic mode, I decided that I would go hunting. What I found was quite surprising, and very pleasing to our ears.
