Kalonzo Musyoka condemns misuse of EACC for political intimidation!!

Описание: The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Machakos Diocese marked a significant milestone on Sunday with the consecration and enthronement of The Ven. Canon Patrick Kyalo Munuve as the new Bishop, in a colourful and spiritually charged ceremony held at All Souls Cathedral.

‎The event drew a host of dignitaries, clergy, and congregants, including Wiper Party Leader H.E. Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos Governor H.E. Wavinya Ndeti, who joined the faithful in celebrating the beginning of a new chapter for the Church.

‎Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka strongly cautioned against the misuse of state institutions for political intimidation, noting, “When governance extends courtesy to the Church, that is to be appreciated. Governor Wavinya is being looked upon simply because she is not toing the line of those in leadership at the highest level, they send EACC upon you. The anti-corruption commission should not be weaponized against those exercising their constitutional rights.”

‎His sentiments sparked widespread applause from the congregation, many of whom echoed the call for respect and fairness in governance.

‎On her part, Governor Wavinya expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness such a spiritual milestone and assured the Church of her administration’s unwavering support. “It is God's will for you to serve as Bishop here, and as a government, we will stand with you as you do the Lord’s work. Tuombee kanisa liendelee kusimama,” she said.

‎The ceremony was presided over by The Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit, Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, who led the laying on of hands and blessing of the new Bishop. Bishop Munuve’s appointment ushers in renewed hope and vision for the faithful across the Diocese.

‎As the Church celebrates its new shepherd, leaders called for continued collaboration between the Church and government in promoting integrity, unity, and moral values across society.
