Locomotiva LEMA-4000 483-012 este deosebită deoarece poartă schema clasică, similară cu EC 001, comemorând aniversarea celor 60 de ani de la deschiderea primei secțiuni de cale ferată electrificată, pe distanța Brașov-Predeal, care a avut loc în anul 1965.

Locomotiva a provenit din fosta EC 101, care a aparținut Depoului Iași, modernizată începând cu anul 2025. Primele imaginii cu această locomotivă au fost surprinse în decembrie 2025. Finalizarea acesteia a fost luna februarie, unde a efectuat proba de perfomanță pe distanța București-Fetești. Primul drum comercial cu călători a avut loc pe 2 marite 2025, la tracțiunea trenului R3028.

Este singura locomotivă care poartă o schemă retro, din totalul celor 17 care vor fi modernizate la SCRL Brașov, cu bani europeni, prin PNRR.

În decembrie 2023, toate contractele pentru modernizarea materialului rulant au fost semnate, finanțate prin PNRR, Astfel, vor fi modernizate:
-55 locomotive electrice, împărțite în 3 loturi:
-19 locomotive LEMA 481 (Softronic Craiova)
-19 locomotive ELASMO 482 (Reloc Craiova)
-17 locomotive LEMA-4000 483 (SCRL Brașov)
-20 locomotive electrice cu acumulatori:
LEA 492 (SCRL Brașov)
139 vagoane destinate transportului de călători.

The LEMA-4000 483-012 locomotive is special because it has a classic scheme, similar to EC 001, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the opening of the first electrified railway section, on the Brașov-Predeal distance, which took place in 1965.

The locomotive came from the former EC 101, which belonged to the Iași Depot, modernized starting in 2025. The first images of this locomotive were captured in December 2025. Its completion was in February, where it performed a performance test on the București-Fetești distance. The first commercial passenger route took place on 2 March 2025, by the R3028 train.

It is the only locomotive that has a retro scheme, out of the total of 17 that will be modernized at SCRL Brașov, with European money, through the PNRR (National Plan of Recovery and Reselience).

In December 2023, CFR Călători (Romanian Railways) all contracts for the modernization of rolling stock were signed, financed through the PNRR ( (National Plan of Recovery and Reselience). Thus, the following will be modernized:
-55 electric locomotives, divided into 3 lots:
-19 LEMA 481 locomotives (Softronic Craiova)
-19 ELASMO 482 locomotives (Reloc Craiova)
-17 LEMA-4000 483 locomotives (SCRL Brașov)
-20 battery-powered electric locomotives:
-LEA 492 (SCRL Brașov)
-139 passenger carriages.
