Roosevelt Coyotes Fall After Strong Showing By Presidio Panthers

Roosevelt Coyotes had trouble keeping up with Presidio Panthers in an 8-1 loss on Thursday at Big Rec Ball Field.

Presidio Panthers opened the scoring in the first after Laith Edrees (#16) singled, scoring one run.

Hayes Swanson (#17) earned the win for Presidio Panthers. The starter allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Luca S took the loss for Roosevelt Coyotes. The starting pitcher went four innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit, striking out one and walking seven.

Luca and Levi C were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Roosevelt Coyotes while hitting back-to-back. James E led Roosevelt Coyotes with one run batted in.  Roosevelt Coyotes turned two double plays in the game.

Hayes went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Hayes, Omar Moore (#5) , Laith, Tyler Tanaka (#21) , and Remy Cheng (#12) each collected one hit for Presidio Panthers. Omar paced Presidio Panthers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 15 walks for the game. Teddy Wall (#7) and Omar each stole multiple bases for Presidio Panthers. Presidio Panthers stole 10 bases in the game. Presidio Panthers turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Presidio Panthers is a game at Willie Brown Middle School on Tuesday.
