The Renault 9 and 11 were the French automakers C segment car of the 1980's. This once popular European car of the year has become near extinct in the UK but I was very luck to have been able to drive this 40 year old mid spec 1.4 litre GTL and tick another car off my list.
In 1989 the model was replaced by the R19 and then the first generation Megane in 1996 but the three models were near identical under the skin.
Did Renault get it right back in the 80's?
