มาร่วมกันทำดี ถึงจะเป็นบุญให้ผู้วายชนม์
ร่วมพิธีนั้นเป็นสังคมของคนเป็นทั้งหลาย
ไปร่วมไปรวม เห็นหน้า
เห็นตา พิธีรีตอง
แต่ความดีมันไม่ถึงใจ
ก็ไม่เป็นบุญถึงผู้วายชนม์
คนจะมากแต่ความดีมันน้อย
เพราะทุกคนเอาแต่เปลือก
ถ้ามาร่วมทำดีกันนะ นี่เป็นแก่น
เป็นบุญกุศลแท้ ผู้วายชนม์จะได้มาก

to do good deeds,
so that true merit may be dedicated to the deceased.
Participating in the ceremony brings people together as a community of the living
meeting faces, observing traditions and rituals.
However, if goodness
does not come from the heart,
the merit will not truly reach the deceased.

Even if many people attend,
if goodness is shallow and only outward,
the merit remains small.
But when we come together with sincere intention
to do good,
this becomes the essence
true merit and wholesome karma
from which the deceased
will truly benefit.
