Md. Aminul Islam has been appointed as the new chief prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
The previous chief prosecutor, Tajul Islam, formally handed over the charge today.
Aminul assured that innocent people will not face harassment.
But those who committed crimes will face punishment.
He also said he will continue the work of the previous prosecution team.
He plans to manage cases more efficiently using his skills and knowledge.
The Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs officially announced his appointment.
