On Thusday, July 10, I went to North Station, hoping to see the MBTA's new geometry cars, which were testing that day. I got no word on where they would go (ended up going on the Grand Junction branch) but then, out of nowhere, the MBTA's rebuilt F40PH-4C #1030 in an all black paint scheme showed up. I chased it down the Lowell line, managing to catch it a second time.
In the afternoon, I was able to see NextGen Acela test train #888 and more at Back Bay and Forest Hills.
