The border btwn Oklahoma and Texas on I-40.
Very first rest area seen in the video and only one before Amarillo it's not a traditional Welcome Center where you can get tons of free maps, brochures and with employees ready to answer any question you might have.
The first and only Texas Welcome Center on I-40 is right outside Amarillo, Exit 76 on I-40, that's where you'll get free maps, brochures, free Wi-Fi, and two Texas State employees specially trained to answer all your questions.
Speed limit on I-40 from OK state line to NM state line is 75 mph except within Amarillo city limits where is lower, 60 or 65 mph.
Cannot recall any Texas State Trooper on the 75 mph section of I-40.
At the end of the video, some interesting pictures of famous Texas Steakhouse Restaurant (the famous 72-ounce meal on just one plate), Cadillac Farm and Route 66 Amarillo landmark sign.
