In this Classic TV moment, we're featuring an up-and-coming Dick Van Dyke on THE PAT BOONE CHEVY SHOWCASE (1958). Dick is joined by actor, singer and Academy Award winner Shirley Jones (THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY, OKLAHOMA!, MUSIC MAN ) and the mutli-talented singer, actor, philanthropist Pat Boone, as they perform a theatrical rendition of "Mention My Name In Sheboygan."
This performance comes just two years before Dick Van Dyke's breakout, Tony-winning performance in the Broadway musical BYE BYE BIRDIE. In the year 1958 gas was 25 cents per gallon, Broadway tickets were $8.05 and tuition at Harvard was $1,250.
