From creator Kurt Sutter, the Netflix series The Abandons is a Western set in Washington Territory in 1854 that pits the wealthy Van Ness family and its matriarch Constance (Gillian Anderson) against Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey) and her family of outcasts in Jasper Hollow. When you live on a piece of land with silver underneath, in a town headed by a woman desperate to hold onto her privilege, tensions inevitably rise. And then, when you throw in an attack, a missing son, a secret militia, and a romance that’s bound to be nothing but trouble, there’s no telling who might claw their way out.
