These cars are driven with the throttle pedal. Driving these classics is like driving on ice, and my more exuberant moments boiled down to one thing: too much throttle. If you start to lose the car, the answer isn't just to keep your foot down and steer out of it. If momentum starts pushing you in the wrong direction you either lift and correct or crash. Add drum brakes to the mix and you've got a truly wild ride. Despite all these idiosyncracies, these are amazing race cars for those brave souls looking for a challenge. RIP #70.
