Does cognitive training work? If so, what works?
Rogerio Panizzutti talks about cognitive training and its role in protecting the aging brain. He holds an MD and PhD degrees from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the Novartis Biomedical Institute, Switzerland. He was given the title of Specialist in Psychiatry from the Brazilian Medical Association, was a fellow of the Human Frontiers Science Program at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Global Brain Health Institute at the Trinity College Dublin. He is currently an associate professor and director of the Neuroscience and Brain Enhancement Laboratory at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Institute of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and he is a researcher at the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
Over the last decade, Dr. Panizzutti gained vast experience studying the effect of digital interventions in the brain, leading clinical trials in different populations in the United States and Brazil. He will talk and discuss how to promote brain health by building up reserves using digital training programs.
