The 4 Roland AIRA modular units double up as an extra stereo analog input for the MX-1 mixer. Check it out. These modules are the Torcido, Demora, Bitrazer and Scooper.
The video shows a Teenage Engineering OP-1 audio going into the Roland MX-1 via the AIRA Scooper module. I'm also using a Volca Mix :)
You could also use a TR-8, TR-8S, System-8 (but not System-1) and any boutique too - you can also link in another MX-1. But I feel that these little modules add a more simplistic input - like a guitar pedal, they don't take up much room. It is more of the case that if you have one, here's another use for it. Plus they are dc-coupled inputs!
