Some quick notes:
at 4:59 and at one other point I accidentally said "5 energy" and 14 "weight" but meant to say the vice versa; 5 weight, 14 energy. Something else I want to mention is that visually speaking, weapons don't correlate with their weight either. Secondly, think about the context of heavier robots. In the original WR, Bulwark was able to carry 2 heavy weapons(which would be something like 2 zeus cannons).... Same with the Carnage, which was similar but lower weight class and much lower hp and much higher maneuverability. In the current version of frontiers, the dissolution of role between weapons removes this possibility given a bulwark in Frontiers can only have 16 energy capacity. the harder hitting weapons ironically become only usable on lighter robots, which doesn't make sense, since they don't sacrifice a lot in terms of durability/armor for that mobility and powerful weapons. It's these aspects of the game's design that I have the biggest gripe with.
What I will praise though is that regardless of a weapon or part's "rarity"(from what I can tell so far) the upgrade price stays the same across all parts. The only aspect of what makes a part expensive is the initial price to actually acquire it.
I also forgot to mention that everything in the battlepass is free, among other things. It's not requiring you to pay money to earn everything you would want, it just takes time to earn it. A very massive number of games never allow you to have that kind of privelage as a player who doesn't spend money.
Lastly, to further explain my stance in regards to the game's player base and the reviews it has received, the biggest thing is I always notice the most extreme arguments. "this game is amazing!" vs "this game is a trash grindfest!" seem to be the only arguments(at least from what I've seen in reviews in various places). I feel like there needs to be more of a bipartisan argument regarding the game so that people can form their own real opinions on it: What mechanics work, what doesn't work, etc. It's not that I dislike or hate anyone associated with the WR community, I just think there needs to be a clearer voice over how the game works and how it should be approached from a player perspective.
