UTokyo Delegation Strengthens Academic Ties with JGU During India Visit
Bengaluru : A delegation from the University of Tokyo (UTokyo) visited O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) as part of its India Tour to strengthen collaboration in global education, innovation, and cross-border academic mobility.
The discussions focused on student and faculty exchanges, joint and dual degree programmes, and collaborative research initiatives. Professor (Dr.) Satsuki Shioyama, Project Research Associate at GlobE, highlighted inclusive and gender-sensitive approaches to international knowledge exchange.
Professor (Dr.) Akhil Bhardwaj, Vice Dean, Office of International Affairs & Global Initiatives, JGU, said the visit would lay strong foundations for long-term faculty exchange and student mobility programmes. The visit concluded with remarks by Prof. R. Padmanabha, Dean, Office of Academic Governance, while Prof. (Dr.) Upasana Mahanta, Dean, Admissions & Outreach, served as the presenter.
The visit is expected to culminate in a forward-looking roadmap to deepen JGU–UTokyo cooperation and strengthen India–Japan higher education ties.
