About Bangus Valley: Bangus valley is the best offbeat destination in Kashmir. The valley is popular for camping in the beautiful mountains and the meadows. It is situated in the Pir Panjal range and is known for its breath-taking natural beauty, including snow-capped mountains, lush green forests, and crystal clear river water.

The main valley has two regions known as Bod Bangus (Big Bangus) and Lokut Bangus (Small Bangus). These two valleys are all about meadows, mountains and streams.

Bangus Valley in Kupwara district is about 90 km drive from Srinagar and can be reached easily from here. There are regular buses and trains available to reach the destination.

How to reach:

By Air: Set at a distance of 90 km from Kupwara, Sheikh Ul Alam international airport in Srinagar is the closest airport.
By Train: The closest railway station for Kupwara is at Baramulla, which is about 64 km away.
By Road: Local cabs and taxis are available from Srinagar cab stands easily. The roads are not well-developed but travellers can reach there easily. But the government is taking measures to develop the valley to enhance the prospects of tourism.
