1. SOUNDBITE (English) Stephen Whyno, The Associated Press:
“Members of the 1980 Miracle and Ice Hockey team are receiving congressional gold medals from President Donald Trump more than four decades after pulling off one of the biggest upsets in sports history. Facing the heavily favored Soviet Union made up of trained professionals, the U.S. Team comprised of some of the best college players in the country went into the Olympics in Lake Placid as significant underdogs. After surprisingly reaching the medal round, Coach Herb Brooks' team faced the Soviets at a game played at 5 o'clock local time that was not even shown on live television in the U.S."
