Tamil Nadu Final Voter Roll Published; 70 Lakh Names Deleted In SIR Exercise

Описание: The Election Commission of India has published the final electoral roll for Tamil Nadu after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

The updated list shows 5.67 crore registered voters in the state. Nearly 70 lakh names have been deleted due to duplication, shifting, deaths and ineligible entries, while 27.53 lakh new voters have been added.

The final roll now sets the stage for upcoming electoral processes in Tamil Nadu.
