Making “Zesty” Handmade Artisan Cold Process Soap using the Soap Parting Technique

Описание: In this video, I continue to explore the Soap Parting technique using a thickly traced batter. The fragrance of this soap is a combination of Litsea cubeba and Neroli essential oils. Litsea Cubeba is very lemony and lasts quite well in cold process soaps. Neroli is the essential oil from the flower of the bitter orange tree and has a floral, citrusy scent along with many reputed health benefits. Together they form a very Zesty and wonderful fragrance. Thanks goes to Debbie Simpson for naming the Soap Parting technique!!


This soap is a luxurious soap made with the following recipe:

Zesty
18 oz of Organic Coconut Oil
18 oz of Olive Oil
15.15 oz of Organic Shea butter
13.7 oz of Filtered Water
7.2 oz of Food Grade NaOH
Cotton ball size piece of Tussah Silk
1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil added after trace
1 oz Neroli Essential oil
1 oz Litsea Cubeba Essential oil

1 tsp Kaolin Clay added to black
1 tsp Dead Sea Clay added to black

I cut the bars into 3 large, bath bars.
