Fried puff pastry :
Fried puff pastry without oven. Very crispy , tasty n delicious puff pastry its taste like baked puff pastry. You definitely try it very quick and simple n tasty recipe. Make and store it in freezer for 1 month and whenever you want just remove and fry it. Quick recipe for parties, Iftar party , celebration , birthday parties , etc. Children’s as well old everybody will enjoy it.
Measurements : ( 1 cup = 250 ml )
Ingredients :
A. Kadhai : ( pot ) :
1. 2 cups. Boneless chicken cubes.
2. 1 cup. Water ( pani )
3. 1/4 tsp. Salt ( namak )
4. 1/4 tsp. All spice mix powder ( garam masala powder)
5. 2 tbsp. ginger - garlic paste ( adrak - lahsun paste )
6. Cooked till all water gets absorbed.
7. Make shredded chicken
8. 2 cups. Shredded chicken is ready
B. Pot :
1. 1/2 cup. Fresh green peas ( Taaze Matur )
2. 1/4 cup. Finely chopped carrots ( gajar )
3. 1/4 cup. Finely chopped capsicum ( Shimla mirch )
4. 1 cup. Water ( pani )
5. 1/4 tsp. Salt ( namak )
6. Boiled n drain water n keep ready.
C. Big pot : ( chicken mixture batter :
1. 1 tbsp. oil ( tail )
2. 1 cup. Finely chopped Onion ( pyaz barik kati hue )
3. When onions becomes soft add boiled vegetables
4. Put shredded chicken
5. 1/2 tsp. Red chilli sauce ( if u want more spicy add 1 tsp. )
6. 1 tbsp. schezwan chatny
7. 1/2 tsp. Salt ( namak )
8. 1/2 tsp. Chaat masala powder
9. 1/2 tsp. Chilli flakes ( if u want more spicy then add 1 tsp. )
10. A handful finely chopped coriander leaves ( hara dhaniya )
D. Big plate ( paraat ) : ( dough ) :
1. 2 & 1/2 cup. All purpose flour ( Maida ) ( 250 gram ) ( seive n take )
2. 1 tsp. Salt ( namak )
3. 2 tsp. Baking powder
4. 2 tbsp. unsalted butter ( ghee )
5. Total 1 cup water taken 2 tbsp. Water remain.
6. Knead a dough
7. Grease 1 tsp. Some oil on it.
8. Cover n rest for 4 hours.
9. After 4 hours later remove n knead for 1 min.
E. Pot : ( for layering paste ) :
1. 3 tbsp. unsalted butter ( ghee ) ( melt it )
2. 3 tbsp. Cornflour powder
3. Mix it well make smooth paste without any lumps.
F. Baking mat : ( puff pastry sheets ) :
1. Use Some Cornflour powder for sprinkle dusting purpose
2. Roll dough make rectangular shape flat thin sheet 1/2 inch thick
3. Pour half quantity layering paste on it
4. Spread it nicely
5. Fold it like books fold in a square shape
6. Keep it in freezer for 5 min.
7. Use Cornflour for dusting purpose
8. Little tap tap press it
9. Roll it flat with light hands into a thin layer
10. Spread again layering paste on it.
11. Fold it like book fold like notebook into a square shape
12. Keep in freezer for 10min.
13. Again remove n slowly slowly tap with rolling pin to a flat thin sheet
14. Make a big square shape
15. With knife make small small square shape puff pastry sheets
G. Puff pastry sheets - filling batter in middle - little water at its edges to seal - with fork make designs on edges - ready.
H. Make puff pastry freeze it in freezer for 2-3 hours. Then store it in an airtight container jar or in a ziplock bag for 1 month in freezer.
I. Oil for Deep fry : preheat oil for 5 min. On medium flame . Deep fry till light golden brown colour. Remove
J. Crispy n tasty fried puff pastry ready.
