General Rules for PSL 11 Retentions
The existing six franchises were allowed to retain a maximum of four domestic players. Islamabad United Retentions
Islamabad United has retained their captain Shadab Khan in the Platinum category. Salman Irshad has been kept in the Gold category, while South African batter Andries Gous is retained in the Silver category.
Karachi Kings Retentions
Karachi Kings have opted for Hasan Ali in the Platinum category and Abbas Afridi in the Diamond category. They also kept Khushdil Shah in the Gold category and young wicketkeeper Saad Baig in the Emerging category.
Lahore Qalandars Retentions
The defending champions kept their captain Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Platinum category. Other retentions include Abdullah Shafique in the Diamond category, Sikandar Raza in the Gold category, and Mohammad Naeem in the Silver category.
Peshawar Zalmi Retentions
Peshawar Zalmi has confirmed that Babar Azam remains with the team in the Platinum category. Reports indicate that Sufiyan Muqeem is also among their retained players as they prepare for the auction.
Quetta Gladiators Retentions
Quetta has retained spinner Abrar Ahmed in the Platinum category. They also kept Usman Tariq in the Diamond category, Hassan Nawaz in the Gold category, and Shamyl Hussain in the Emerging category.
Multan Sultans Retentions
Multan Sultans have retained Mohammad Rizwan in the Platinum category. Other key players like Usama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed were moved to the Diamond category during the renewal process, though the final confirmed list for all categories is being finalized ahead of the auction.
New Teams Provision
The two new franchises, Hyderabad and Sialkot Stallions, do not have previous squads. To help them build, they are granted special provisions to select four players each from the pool of non-retained players before the main auction begins.
The PSL 11 player auction is scheduled to take place on February 11, 2026, while the tournament itself will run from March 26 to May 3, 2026.
