Powerhouse in Hawai’i
The number 3 powerhouse team in the nation, Bishop Gorman Gaels, visited the Islands Saturday night as they would head up to the North Shore to face off against the Kahuku Red Raiders. The two teams met last year in Las Vegas with a win coming from Bishop Gorman. As the Gaels from the 9th island travel to paradise, they look to continue to dominate and prove that they belong in the top 5. Senior QB, Maika Eugenio, is a University of Hawaii commit and he did not disappoint on the Island where he will be playing for. Maika threw for 3 TD’s along with a flea flicker from teammate, Kaina Watson, in the first half. A lot of local talent on the Gaels made their homecoming return, to play in front of friends and family. The defense led by Sophomore LB, Tamatoa Gaoteote and Senior S, Jett Washington, handed Kahuku their second shutout of the season as they go on to take the W.
