Suzie is a US citizen, which means Andrew was able to immigrate as a spouse green card holder, giving us a clear, legal, and long-term pathway to live and work in the USA together. That alone removed a huge amount of uncertainty compared with other options.

We also talk about the importance of having a strong family support network in the United States, and how being close to loved ones has made this transition far smoother than starting completely from scratch somewhere else.
