For today's Riff of the Day, we turn to Cynthia Erivo, the breakout West End star soon to be making her Broadway debut as Celie in the coming revival of "The Color Purple" set to open this November at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. At just 29-years-old, this young actress is ready to take the Great White Way by storm. However, before Broadway dreams, before "The Color Purple" opened at the Mernier in the summer of 2013, Erivo was touring the UK with "Sister Act." The following clip features one of Erivo's signature riffs during the final number, "Spread the Love Around." Enjoy and we can't wait to hear you slay Celie's 11 o'clock number in the fall!
