We recently puchased this 1971 VW Bay Westfalia the bus is in excellent shape mechanically and body exterior with a lot of details and work having been put into the restore. Our next several weeks/months will be filled with sourcing and installing new and OEM interior parts. We plan on starting with www.sewfineproducts.com out of Colorado for the majority of the fabrics for the interior panels, carpet and curtains. We have already purchased the fabric for recovering the read bench/bed and the bed pad that goes above the engine deck.
The new/old Westfalia now joins our 1972 Marathon Baja Super Beetle that we have owned since 1990. We recently did a full restoration on this car being it was a special edition that commemorated Volkswagon surpassing the 15th Million VW rolling off the production line to surplant Fords long held title. But that's a nother story that we will be posting videos about the 2 years spent doing the restore.
