My 17 year old Porter Cable air compressor quit pumping air a few weeks ago and I decided I would fix it rather than replace it. As is fairly common on these single stage air compressors, the piston and cylinder needed to be replaced, which is a relatively easy and inexpensive task to complete. I will show how to remove the parts from the head and repair them with a factory original rebuild kit.
